A&R Solar is looking for a part-time Solar Events Coordinator to coordinate and staff events in Western Oregon throughout the year.

This is a fun position--and one you’ll play a role in envisioning and developing. You'll research events in the area, and working with our team, determine which ones you'll be attending. You’ll  determine materials needed for the booth. You’ll set up the booth before the event and break it down after. You’ll engage with attendees and answer basic questions about solar. If they are interested in learning more, you’ll gather their contact information so a member of our team can contact them.

Don’t worry--we don’t use high pressure tactics to get people to sign up. Rather, we’re friendly and informative and allow people to decide if they are interested in taking the next step.

We’ll provide all the training you need to feel confident answering basic questions about solar and battery backup. It’s okay not to have all the answers. We know your technical knowledge will grow as you hold more events.

This is a part-time role with flexible, variable hours. It's a perfect fit for someone looking to work fairly consistently but with a flexible schedule throughout the year.

  • Research local events and create an event schedule
  • Help develop and gather materials needed for the booth (marketing materials, booth setup)
  • Be responsible for collecting and transporting materials to events
  • Setup and take down booth
  • Provide staffing during events and engage with people. We don’t want a body scrolling on their phone. We want someone who is active and engaged and is eager to talk to people without being pushy.
  • Provide a signup list to our Welcome Team promptly after each event
  • Provide short analysis of each event so that we can be better prepared for the next one

  • Take the initiative to research and create an events schedule
  • Communicate your weekly schedule to the Marketing Director
  • Be prepared for each event, including materials
  • Show up on time
  • Take good care of the booth materials
  • Be friendly and engage event visitors
  • Continue to evolve your knowledge of solar
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to the team on how we can make improvements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Previous event or canvassing experience is a plus
  • Ability to work weekends based on the event (not every weekend--you’ll help develop the schedule)

We excited to learn about you! Here's some information about us.

Thank You
